TOMORROW: Creating Solutions – A TN Budget Forecast and Policy Forum
Tomorrow, September 15, 2010, at 10 am, the AARP, the Tennessee Chapter of the League of Women Voters and The Tennessee Commission on Children & Youth will present a non partisan budget forecast and policy Forum.
“CREATING SOLUTIONS: A State Budget Forecast and Policy Forum,” will be held at the downtown Nashville Public Library Auditorium (map).
The purpose of this event is to educate advocates on the current status of Tennessee’s budget during this challenging financial time. The speakers and panel of professionals will share current information as it relates to the vital infrastructure of social and environmental services that support communities and help our citizens improve their lives.
Speakers include Stan Chervin of the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations and Matt Murray from the University of Tennessee Center for Business and Economic Research.
A panel response and discussion will follow with: Linda O’Neal – Executive Director, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth Education; Al Mance, Executive Director, Tennessee Education Association, Health and 50-Plus; Patrick Willard, Advocacy Director, Tennessee AARP; Sita Diehl, Director of State Policy Advocacy, National Alliance on Mental Illness; Carol Westlake, Executive Director, Tennessee Disability Coalition; and Stewart Clifton, Tennessee Conservation Voters.
