Text Description of VisitTennessee constituents asked Rep. John Duncan of Knoxville, TN if he’d vote to extend middle class tax cuts. Here is what he said…

Tennessee constituents paid Representative John Duncan (R-TN) a visit and asked him if he would sign the discharge petition that would force a vote on the Middle Class Tax Cut Act. The bill would cut taxes for 98% of Americans and 97% of small businesses. It has already passed the Senate and President Obama has promised to sign it into law as soon as it comes to his desk.

Despite saying it would take too long to explain his opposition to the petition, Rep. Duncan managed to do so pretty concisely.

“I’m not going to give control of the floor to the Democrats.”

Watch his outrageous comment, and then tell Congress to stop playing politics and start doing what is best by the American people.
