Delivering a Corker of a Message to Representative Fincher
TODAY, Thursday, December 13, at 3:00 pm CT, West Tennesseans will visit Rep. Stephen Fincher and rally to demand that he stop blocking middle-class tax cuts and stop threatening to take us over the “fiscal cliff.” They will also deliver a Corker of a message.
Sen. Bob Corker reversed his position on the Bush Tax Cuts because he has heard loud and clear from his Tennessee constituents. Tomorrow, they will ask him to continue his leadership by calling on his colleague, Rep. Stephen Fincher, to stop putting politics ahead of their people and sign the discharge petition that would allow a vote on the Middle Class Tax Cut Act.
The rally will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 3:00 PM CT, at the Martin office of Congressman Fincher, 406 Lindell Street South, Suite C, Martin, TN (between Main and University).
If Congressman Fincher and the House of Representatives do not take action before the New Year then on January 1, 2013, taxes on all Americans will rise: more money will be withheld from every paycheck and the average Tennessee family – already hard-pinched in the current economic crisis – will pay more than $2000 additional taxes for the year.
McKenzie, TN Alma Jones explained, “We’re going to tell Congressman Fincher that the citizens of this congressional district aren’t going to accept this. We hope many Martin, Dresden, Union City and West Tennessee folks join us this Thursday at 3 pm in front of Congressman Fincher’s office in Martin on Lindell between Main and University.”
Go Rally tomorrow, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 3:00 PM CT, at the Martin office of Congressman Fincher, 406 Lindell Street South, Suite C, Martin, TN (between Main and University).
