From Fox 17 in Nashville:

Protesters told Fox 17 they were most concerned over the president’s selections of Betsy DeVos for the head of the Department of Education and Tom Price for the Department of Health and Human Services. They held signs and lead the crowd in intermittent cheers of “repair not repeal.”

Andy Spears, executive director of Tennessee Citizen Action, said the protest was organized to voice the group’s opposition to Price’s nomination and to tell Sen. Alexander, R-Tennessee, they believe in the Affordable Care Act. Spears said the senator is in a unique and powerful position to stop the confirmations if he wants to. Alexander is the Republican chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions.
The event featured more than 120 individuals standing against Price and DeVos and in support of the Affordable Care Act. Approximately 30 members of the group were able to speak directly to staffers in Sen. Alexander’s office.
