Time to Close the Coverage Gap

Our friends at the Tennessee Justice Center are asking YOU to taking action. Let’s work together and help nearly 300,000 Tennesseans gain access to affordable healthcare:

On Friday, the American Health Care Act was pulled from the House floor instead of going to a vote where it would have been killed. As Speaker Paul Ryan affirmed, this means that the Affordable Care Act is still the “law of the land” and that it will be “for the foreseeable future.”
This was an incredible success, and we were so proud to have stood with you through this battle. This also means that we have the opportunity to continue our work to close the coverage gap. This means that now is the time to make sure that 280,000 of our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and all others in the coverage gap who have no access to affordable health care coverage can finally get the coverage that they need.
Together, we can close the coverage gap. But we need your help.
Would you take five minutes to call Speaker Beth Harwell (615-741-0709) and ask her to close the coverage gap?
Now is the time to call Speaker Beth Harwell and tell her to move forward with a plan to close the coverage gap. We can no longer afford to do nothing. Call Speaker Beth Harwell now: 615-741-0709
Want to do more? On Wednesday, March 29, at 12pm, Tennessee’s House of Representatives will be discussing a bill to close the coverage gap in the Insurance and Banking Subcommittee. Will you be there to stand up for coverage for all Tennesseans?
(Not sure what the coverage gap is? The coverage gap consists of 280,000 Tennesseans who do not have access to health coverage because Tennessee’s legislature refused to expand our TennCare program. Learn more here.)
