Nashville Tax Rally — This Saturday

Join us as we join progressive organizations from across Tennessee and in solidarity with groups around the country this Saturday starting at 10:30 at the Davidson County Courthouse.

Nashville’s local Tax Rally, in solidarity with 120 protests across the nation, will take place in front of the Davidson County Courthouse starting at 10:30am on this Sat. (TAX DAY) April 15th from 10:30-1.

Country funk band The Natchez Tracers will open.

Closing the event is a group of horn players led by Jim Hoke and Grammy Award Winner Jeff Coffin – “We Blow Our Saxes – You Show Your Taxes!” -featuring “Taxman” by the Beatles, the obligatory, national tax-day rally anthem “The Chicken Dance” and more.

The list of speakers is:

Laura Trigg Gilbert – activist with Indivisible

Taralei Griffin – correspondent with Truth Against the Machine

David Kent – former Congressional Candidate Tennessee Sixth District

Dave Pomeroy – President of the Nashville Musicians Association

Andy Spears – Executive Director of Tennessee Citizen Action

Last but not least the giant, inflatable chicken will bethere!
